21. Maintain your Passion
During the summer months David developed the site adding sections on Inspiration, Out-The-Box, The Fool, and [email protected] He maintained his passion by drawing on the feedback he was getting, despite the lack of proper internal recognition. When the management doesn't seem to be bothered what is the incentive to keep going? You need to find support from somewhere to keep going.

The whole site is fantastic! I just found it this afternoon on a (Rare) quiet afternoon. particularly liked Corporate Fool - I've put it on the wall and shall point it out to my manager next time I tell it how it is!

I've checked the site almost every day since the start of the year but this is the first time I've sent a message. It's a fantastic idea and deserves proper recognition from management.

Your work has lifted my spirits countless times when I thought I couldn't face another call. I leave the company next week and your site is the one thing I'll miss about the place. Keep up the good work, everyone I know in Teleservice who has seen your site loves it!

What can I say? Magnifique, fantastic, awesome. I was all set to leave the company, but this site has corrected my negative mind-set. I now regularly "think outside the box". And my fellow workers have noticed a change in me too!

Bravo, David. Long may your good work continue.

Even the telephone managers recognised that there was definite benefits in the site. They were already working on colleague satisfaction and this fitted in perfectly. Eventually it was accepted as a motivational site and linked from their intranet site. However, it was not resourced from that area and so the problem of integration still existed..

Subject: Your website

You contacted me a while ago regarding this, and I have asked one of the members of our workstream to get in touch.

In the meantime, I have looked through your site and love it! It's right up my street.

I felt quite humbled by it all, and wanted to contribute to the Out Of The Box section.

But big organisations don't move very fast - note the dates!! This was only to create a hyperlink!
